That was one of the first things the Thai customer told us during the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For someone starting a spicy snack business, finding a latiao making machine is only the first step. The more important question is whether the machine can produce the exact product they have in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That was also how this project started\u2014with a specific product idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The customer planned to produce round latiao about 8.5 cm long and 1 cm in diameter<\/strong>, using a six-hole round die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After confirming the product dimensions, we discussed the mold in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The customer also wanted to test another product: a square-shaped latiao with a cross-section of approximately 1 \u00d7 1 cm<\/strong>, also using a six-hole die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a result, two different sets of molds were included in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the customer, the additional mold was not simply an extra accessory. It gave them the flexibility to test different product shapes after entering the market, without having to purchase another complete latiao production line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is why we prefer to start with the product itself when designing a latiao making machine solution, rather than asking the customer to adapt to a fixed machine configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once the product specifications were confirmed, we moved on to the rest of the production process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The basic process for this project is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mixing \u2192 Extrusion & Puffing \u2192 Cooling\/Cutting \u2192 Packaging<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Based on the customer’s requirements, the line was configured with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The mixer prepares the raw materials evenly, while the puffing extruder forms the product. The cutting machine then cuts the extruded strips to the required length before the finished products enter the automatic packaging process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The customer also had specific packaging requirements. They wanted a push-plate feeding method for the pillow packaging machine, a specific bag size, and a coding machine for package identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The selected SL-350 packaging machine supports bag lengths of 100\u2013600 mm and bag widths of 50\u2013160 mm, providing a suitable basis for the customer’s packaging requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the equipment was confirmed, the customer raised another practical question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCan you test the machine with our own raw material before delivery?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For a food-processing project, especially when purchasing a latiao making machine internationally, testing with the customer’s actual material can be very useful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Different formulations and raw material conditions can affect extrusion, product texture, shape, and cutting performance. Instead of relying only on machine specifications, an actual material test gives the customer a clearer idea of how the equipment performs with their intended production material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For this Thai project, the customer specifically requested material testing before the machine was delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At first, the customer was simply looking for a latiao making machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But as we discussed the project in detail, it became clear that they needed more than a standard extruder.
